[continued]hey! I promised to continue my story in the previous post.
okay, let's see what else happened after the national anthemn..
Sec 3 girls were to 'run' first. I was frantic as my class girls have all gathered at the starting line and I'm still looking for the damn blue tag. In the end, I got it from Clara. She's always the one with the resource(s). Thank you Clara! Not long after, the gun was 'fired' which marked the starting of the race. What was surprising this year was that almost 3/4 of the sec3 girls walked through the race. Prata suggested running for a distance and walked for some parts of the journey. So i went ahead with her, but stopped at a bench to wait for Clara, Hui Fang and Bessy. I had stitch so had to restfor awhile. Then, we realised it was the sec3 boys run already as many caught up with us. We sped on for about a distance before we halted to wait for the remaining. There it came, the horrible cramps. They were acute ones. It spoiled my mood for awhile before I heard Clara's phone play the Orientation Camp song. Me, Clara and Prata just sang and danced along. Got high then. Sorry, but i didn't notice if anyone was looking from the back. I must have looked dumb and silly. Okay, I have to admit that's the way i am in nature, DUMB and SILLY. Nezt song on the list was even better, ALL FOR ONE. I know the moves better than tubthumping. Heh. lalalaala~
After all that singing, we decided to stroll our way back to the point at Macs before we start jogging all the way to the finish line. However, the on-off cramps came towards the end of the race. Prata has real good stamina. She just dashed like a speedboat all the way while I was still clutching my stomach as though the cramps would go away. I waited for Clara for bout 20 secs and she came, so I jogged with her to the end. At the last 10 m, we were shuffling between who would go first. In the end, I completed the race before her. Harh. Thanks, Clara, for letting me pass through first! :)
After the hectic and sweltering run, It was time for class picnic and mass games. Vivien and some of the girls went to Macs to buy breakfast for us. I had EggMcMuffin which was shared amongst 4 people (Felicia, Xin Hui, Grace and Me) later on. We were all hungry and can't help the constant rumbling of our tummies.
During the Mass Games, I spotted Xing Hui and Joyce standing opposite me at the playing area and decided to catch up on their life. I missed Xing Hui's (Orange) humor the most. [to be continued] sorry!
