Some dumb things that happened yesterdayAt about 2.10pm, Mdm Yong told us that we can leave the school at 2.30pm sharp. My class was like, "Why leh?". Then she said something like this:
Mdm Yong: Later there's this emergency drill thing for teachers so you all have to leave school earlier so that the school can carry out the drill.
Me: What is this drill for?
Mdm Yong: Something like fire drill like that lor. Every year also have what...
Me: So it's only for teachers?
Mdm Yong: Yah lah. Students go home then teachers can go what. You all don't go we cannot go right. Don't tell me the teachers just leave the students behind?
Me: Oh..
I still don't understand what she's talking about but just understood that it was some drill exercise.
At 2.20pm, Mr Foo made an emergency announcement. He mentioned that the police and experts have discovered a bomb at the work site beside our school and were asked to leave the school immediately. When he mentioned " Don't panic!" , my whole class bursted into laughter. Cos Mdm Yong just told us about the drill earlier on. She asked us to pack our bags quickly and leave the class so that vice-chairman (Tom) can lock the class door. Some guys were curious and speculated the work site from the windows and saw several police offices and experts checking the scene. My class guys thought it was a gag (like what I did, which was stupid)
I went to put my books in the lockers and saw some people having pale and shocked faces. Comforted them by telling them what Mdm Yong told my class. (regretted that)
Met some people at the front gate while waiting for Mum to pick me and my sis up. They were all discussing about the incident. I did the same thing again. Shucks, so diu1 lian3.
Was told that what Mr Foo announced over the PA system was real. It was proven in the news. Felt so diao. What I told other people earlier on was all false info. Damn paiseh...
Guessed what happened during the later part of the day? I walked into the wall several times because I didn't look up while walking. I nearly fell into the pond while feeding the fishes downstairs. Some guppies flew onto my hand while I was feeding them and I screamed. You must be thinking, "Haiyo, they were only guppies". Yeah yeah, there were, BUT i was shocked. haha:P What is the most diu1 lian3 thing is, there were residents walking past (few children and their parents), they heard and saw how I screamed and jumped up. Sigh sigh. Wished there was a box or something to cover my face. EEeekK. Why must I lose face all in a day. HAHA!
today: ROAD RUN 2009
I arrived at West Coast Park at 7.05am and saw Yi Jie got off. I met her and we went into Macs too look for Vivien to get our class tee. To my shocking shock, my class tee was 'L' size. If I didn't tuck in, it would look like a night dress and I'm serious. Can't change the size because my name was imprinted on it. GAHH! However, the design was in fact quite nice because simplicity is beauty. After changing into my class tee, I went for duty to settle the classes down. Not long after, it was the singing of the national anthemn and school song. Okay, something happened during the national anthemn. My sec 1 class suddenly sanged it abit too loudly. Guess they must have been proud of the whole Nan Hua High cohort occupied almost the whole of West Coast Park. [to be continued]
